Lean series

The Lean Series is a vase designed by recycling plastic pellets, which are filament materials for 3D printing. The discarded defective pellets have particles such as a grain of sand and can be adhered to each other through fumigation with a solvent 

like alcohol. The glass pipes were used as materials to emphasize the tension that was about to collapse, and the pellets tangled with each other during the fumigation process. So, the surface texture of smooth glass and melted pellets, along with 

various color combinations, is designed to form an aesthetic contrast.

린 시리즈는 3D 프린팅용 필라멘트 원료인 플라스틱 펠렛들을 재활용하여 디자인한 화병 시리즈이다. 버려지는 불량 펠렛들은 모래알과 같은 입자를 하고 있으며 알콜성 용액으로 훈증 작업을 통해 서로 접착이 가능하다는 특징이 있었다. 모래알과 같은 형상에서 어릴적 놀이터에서 나뭇가지를 산처럼 쌓은 모래의 가운데에 심고 모래를 가져가면서 나뭇가지가 넘어지지 않도록 하던 놀이를 떠올렸다. 쓰러질 듯한 긴장감을 강조하기 위한 소재로 충격에 약한 유리파이프를 사용하였고 훈증 과정에서 서로 엉겨붙은 펠렛들이 나뭇가지 주위의 모래와 같이 유리 파이프의 무게중심을 잡아주는 역할을 하였다. 또한 다양한 색상 조합과 함께 매끈한 유리와 녹은 펠렛의 표면질감이 조형적인 대비를 이루도록 디자인 하였다.
